Ah the start of Spring and finally winter fading into actual sunshine and baby lambs.

What did you end up reading in March? Was it a good reading month? Did anything particularly spark your interest?

Ieva (ievagmbtt) Oh Yes, very! I ended up reading 7 books:

Perfume The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Süskind ; The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Díaz ; Wild From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed ; The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah ; I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson ; The Universe Next Door A Basic Worldview Catalog by James W. Sire ; Little Bee by Chris Cleave

I'm pretty happy with this number, since I'm usually very busy with uni and don't have enough time to read as much as I would like! :)

The Raven King - Feyzan (theravenkingx) The art of war

message 4: by Gavin (new)

Gavin (thewalkingdude) | 209 comments I read:
Paradise Lost and Paradise Regained
The Call of Cthulhu and Other Weird Stories
La ciudad y los perros (The Time of the Hero)
Ivanhoe
Spice & Wolf, Vol. 11: Side Colors II

Would've read more, but Paradise Lost took me longer than I thought. It was great though. I also read my first Lovecraft, that was nice too.

Martha (marthag503) I read 5 books in March and thought it was a good month. I started multiple books that were 800-1400 pages long and that I will most likely be reading for several months. These are the ones I finished.

The Angry Tide
Sorcerer to the Crown
Strange Fruit
A Mother's Reckoning: Living in the Aftermath of Tragedy
The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You're Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are

Alessandra (chibisuke) | 266 comments March was a rather good month for me. I got a lot of reading done which surprised me a bit. The easter weekend was really helpful, I guess :)

This is what I read:
Die Rückkehr des Sherlock Holmes
More Than This
The Girl with Seven Names: A North Korean Defector’s Story
The Girl on the Train
Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock
Armada

Also finished:
Beastly Bones (February leftover)
Oliver Twist (November leftover)

message 8: by Marina (new)

Marina (sonnenbarke) I read 10 books in March, and some of them were really good ones:

A Clash of Kings - February leftover, not as good as the first one in my opinion, but still a good read
Angels in America, Part One: Millennium Approaches - a bit disappointing, though not bad
The Harmony Silk Factory - loved it!
The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind: Creating Currents of Electricity and Hope - the best book of the year so far
Mosquitoes - the worst book of the year so far, LOL!
Brain over Binge - interesting but controversial
Son - a nice end to The Giver Quartet
The Little World of the Past - boring, but not that bad
The Call of the Wild - disappointing, but nice nonetheless
The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma - very very good, another 5 stars

Marina-
I just bought The Body Keeps the Score. Glad to see you've recommended it so highly!

message 11: by Margie (last edited Apr 09, 2016 05:26AM) (new)

Margie I was in a bit of a reading slump in March but still read several books:

All the Birds in the Sky - a blend of sci-fi and fantasy - highly recommend.
What Alice Forgot Good read, not great.
American Housewife: Stories - a satirical collection of short stories - a little snarky but I enjoyed it.
The Sea of Tranquility I'm not a big YA reader but read this for a challenge prompt and liked it.
Death of a Nurse Hamish Macbeth is always a good cozy mystery read. Makes me want to go to Scotland.
The Sympathizer A bit uneven; I wanted to enjoy it more than I did.
