Deidre Mapstone (sporaticreeder) | 18 comments Hi, hello, and good day to you! Welcome to my booth for Sigrun, the Bandamann Saga!

description

My name is Deidre Mapstone. My first delving into writing is Sigrun. Based on a dream I had, I told my daughter about it. She encouraged me to write it down and make a story out of it. Because of her, and much encouragement from the rest of my family, Sigrun was born. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it.

Here you can learn:
What is Sigrun?
Who are the Lundgrens?
What is this book about?

“Well, you see, children,” Cord began, “things aren’t as they seem with us Lundgrens.” He hesitated for a moment and cleared his throat. Heather took his hand in hers. He seemed to gain confidence from it and went on. “We’re…well…special you see. Not in the way that parents think their kids are special and as they should. But we’re different. I mean really different.” He paused again, trying to find the right words.

Please visit my website, http://ddzines007.wix.com/sigrun to find where to follow Sigrun, and answer all of your questions, and more!

Deidre Mapstone (sporaticreeder) | 18 comments Sorry I haven't been here much today! It's been so busy everywhere in this convention, I got lost!
I'd like to introduce you to the Lundgren family, the stars of Sigrun!

Let's start with the Mr. and Mrs., Cord and Heather Lundgren!
Cord and Heather own Sigrun, their restaurant in Mt. Desert Island, Maine. They are celebrating 35 years in business, and hardly look old enough to have run a restaurant that long!

Cord is fair with lighter, slightly curly hair, a little bit thin on top. He has a tad of a belly, but you could see he was a sportsman in his day. His smile lights up a room and he has a personality that puts everyone at ease.

Heather is just about the most beautiful raven-haired woman you have ever seen. She can stun a room into silence without even trying. Her straight, almost black hair graces her shoulders. It shows red or blue highlights depending on the light that shines on it. At first glance, she looks almost plain, as she doesn't do anything to embellish herself. But when you look closer, you can see her perfect porcelain skin, her multi-faceted hair and her delicate, symmetrical, stunning features.

Feel free to drop them a line, and ask them any questions, or just say hello!

Deidre Mapstone (sporaticreeder) | 18 comments Ooops! How did I not post a giveaway yesterday? Time flies when you're having fun!
Sorry about that!
To make up for my tardiness, the first 3 people to say hello here at my booth will get a ecopy of Sigrun!
So, don't be shy, say, "Hi!"
:)

Deidre Mapstone (sporaticreeder) | 18 comments While you're wondering if you'd like to read Sigrun, maybe you'd like to meet the Lundgren children!

We'll start with Lyla, the oldest, who also happens to grace the cover of the book.
Lyla has medium blond, wavy hair and light green eyes. She doesn't do much in the way of makeup, but just a touch of shadow, and perhaps a light gloss on the lips. After all, she didn't have much time for that sort of thing. Working at Sigrun and being the responsible one in the family took most of her time.
At 21, Lyla finished college to come back to use her knowledge to help Sigrun run at it's best. She's business minded, and likes it that way.

Deidre Mapstone (sporaticreeder) | 18 comments Liam , the oldest son, is 19, and is also using his expertise from college to help run Sigrun. His specialty is in the kitchen, where he puts his muscles to good use. He's a mean short cook! His dirty blond hair falls where it may, but doesn't cover his light brown eyes, that sparkle when he smiles.
A fun loving guy who loves a good swim in the ocean, but doesn't dare do it with anyone around.

Deidre Mapstone (sporaticreeder) | 18 comments Telulah, or Tillie as she's better known as, is as bouncy and excitable as her blond curls suggest. They flow down her back, and bounce and respond to Tillie's every mood and action. Her skin is always bronzed, even though she is rarely seen sunning on the beach. Her bright blue eyes look like the reflection of the ocean on a sunny summer day.
Tillie is living her 17th year fully. She loves hanging out with her friends, but she also helps work the tables at Sigrun when needed. She looks up to her big sis, but doesn't quite let her know it.
She's getting ready for her first vacation without her family, and she can barely hold her excitement. Little does she know what excitement awaits!

Deidre Mapstone (sporaticreeder) | 18 comments Adrian, the youngest of the Lundgrens, can also be the most inquisitive. Questioning nearly everything in his path, he can bring discomfort to many circumstances.
With dark brown curly hair, and hazel green eyes, he takes after his mother, in looks. Not the burly type like his brother and father.
At 16, he is excited to be driving, and loves to hang out with friends. He keeps his head about him in school, and gives a hand at Sigrun during the summer.
Adrian's curiosity has gotten the better of him on more than one occasion.

Thank you, Ashley! Sigrun turned into something all its own, and I'm so glad my daughter told me to start writing.
