Maggie's off the scotch. Did you see significant changes in her behavior as a result? Do you think the author was deliberately trying to make a point?

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I'm was wondering why she is off of the scotch. Did I miss something? Is she afraid she will end up like her mother?

It's been almost a year since the last story ended and the only mention was she's drinking diet cokes instead. There was one moment when she almost deviated. That was the extent of the conversation about it.

That scotch was a dangerous crutch given her family history. I don't know that I realized how much her marriage weighed heavily on her self esteem. Now that she's divorced, it's like there's light in her life again. She's much more self possessed and less introspective. Kudos to her for recognizing that scotch was not helping.
