Actually, my music taste changes very rapidly. It was almost a year ago when I refused to listen anything except Classic Bollywood music. Kishor, Mukesh and Manna sir gave me a good company.
Then came the Coke-studio era. Coke-Studio Pakistan won my heart (I didn't like Coke Studio India aka CokeStudio @MTV).
My playlist was full of coke studio song.
(You gotta hear them. They are awesome. Ask me if you need recos.)
Now is the Pop and Electro-Pop era.
Currently I'm trying to explore The Beatles and other stuff of that time.
I haven't heard any other song of Linkin Park except "Numb", which I like very much. Will try it some time.
You listen the Devil's music? :P:P
Heavy-metal is too heavy (and Satanic) for me.

Then paid attention to the lyrics of "Crawling", "Numb" and "Somewhere I Belong". Became a fan instantly. Insightful lyrics.
Some of the videos are very meaningful too. Two of my fav videos :
1. Lost in the Echo : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=co4Yp...
2. Burning in the Skies : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kh_YC...

I don't know if you guys have heard about the band Kodaline, but their songs are amazing!

Haven't heard anything by Beatles... only radioactive by Imagine Dragons (loved it).
Haven't seen any of the videos recommended by Mishty!
Nothing of what Jenny mentioned.
You guys have made my day! Or rather many days to come :)

This thread is a massive hit, just like The Seventy Fourth Hunger Games.

Wow..the first video is AWESOME. That gave me goosebumps. The song is also very nice.
Although i didn't understand the second video.

But certainly I'll explore Linkin Park more.

Now that's tough, cause sometimes I hate music video for video part.
Also some times music videos distract me, so I prefer audio version.
But few are here:
Papa, don't preach- Madonna (I think it's good for you, although your response would be-"I hate Madonna":P:P Give it a try.)
Sun is shining- Axwell /\ Ingrosso
Centuries- Fall Out Boy
Demons- Imagine Dragons (The song is very nice.)
La La La- Naughty Boy ft. Sam Smith
Also Single Ladies, Blank Space and Shake It Off.

Magic by Coldplay reminds me of The Guide.

Oh, I completely forgot about Stan by Eminem is a powerful video too.
Gorab wrote: "Hey Arpit, yes please send recos in Coke Studio.
I've listened mostly Atif Aslam's songs only."
Coke Studio Pakistan:
You could listen to Dost by Abida Parveen, if you are into sufi.
Alif Allah, Jugni and Sab Aakho Ali Ali are great. Kinda fun also:P
Any song by Zeb and Haniya is awesome. You can start by Laili jaan and Kaho Kya Khayal hain.
There are also two awesome Nescafe Basement songs.
Tau Kia Hua
Tere Ishq me jo bhi doob gaya.

Imagine Dragons won my heart over many times. Going to follow them more often. Demons lyrics was also awesome. Loved RadioActive too.
One Republic counting stars! again superb lyrics and video.
Yet to try Beatles.

Its been more than a decade now.. and NONE of my playlists are complete without LP in it. However I don't like them so much in the recent years. The band claims to create songs more "mature". I found them better raw!

Songs of The Beatles are subtle when compared to Imagine Dragons. Not so loud :)

Sure. Anytime you say. Me and Arpit never planned to read it atleast till 2020!

If u like progressive rock then give Pink Floyd a try. Some recommendations would be Comfortably Numb, Time, Shine on u crazy diamonds, echoes, Breathe in the air.
Beatles are also good. You can begin with A day in the life, Let it be, when my guitar gently weeps.

The guitar music of Iron Maiden's Dance of the Death is my fav. Not tried many guitar solos.
Thanks Palash :)
What kind of music you like other than hard rock?

Iron Maiden is my favourite in Heavy Metal genre besides Black Sabbath and Metallica.
I mostly like rock and heavy metal music of 60s, 70s, 80s.
Other than hard rock I enjoy lengthy epic progressive rock songs of bands such as Pink Floyd, Genesis, Porcupine Tree and progressive metal music of Dream Theater.
I also like other classic rock artists like The Doors, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, The Velvet Underground, Queens, AC/DC, Simon and Garfunkal, The Eagles, few songs of rolling stones.
Other than that i like few grunge bands(nirvana, pearl jam), symphonic metal bands(nightwish).
I also like old hindi songs.
I dont listen to Pop much(some exceptions are there) and i hate Rap music.
Lately I have been exploring Jazz genre.

It just boils down to either Indian music or English music for me....

How cool is this! Gehna you'll love this. The player interprets color variations and converts it to soft instrumental piano!

The guitar music of Iron Maiden's..."
If you say you like rock and metal, I think you should listen the album Human by Three days Grace, the best being landmine,I am machine.
Also you could listen to I dont care and Novocaine by Fall out boy
Also cradled in love, temple of thought, and carnival of rust by the poets of the fall

Only if its accompanied by heavy metal :P :P"
Noo... only piano instrumental I am talking about :P

Sure. Anytime you say. Me and Arpit never planned to read it atleast till 2020!"
Alright then. Thanks :D
Miracle!!
I never checked the upper story of my college library, so today I went up. Was full of those boring academics books....with lots of Vivekanand Sahitya (My college is kinda Congress college, and INC is kindaanti-Hindu Secular party...so I didn't expect books related with any particular religion. That too Hinduism!! .....but God!! there were hundreds of books about Hinduism!!)
Let's come back to story, so what did I find there? Between these religious and academic books?
You guessed it right (if you did). It was "An Equal Music" by Vikram Seth. A Hardcover.
Only literature book in whole library!! What a coincident:)
Gorab, be ready!! Coming soon:P:P

I'm a kpoper! And an Exo-L. I've been introduced to hardcore recently by a friend. Mozart is the way to go for classical music in my opinion. Don Giovanni's ending is !!!
Ye-Jin, I don't listen to K-pop, so I have no idea about it.
@Gorab- And it reminds me of our An Equal Music BR!! Gorab, I don't even know what to say :/
