Hi Jeanne and Sara, just reading this now ... I’m thinking it could be a minor character named Madge Knudsen. She’s described, on page 78 (Little Brown edition) as “having a big mouth” and then a sentence or two later: “A nasty story might well be winging its way to Pug in Hawaii”. That’s my theory!
