{Bend The Light ~ Control The Dark} An Original RPG discussion

This RPG is an idea of my own creation, I have put quite a bit of time and effort into putting it together, so I hope you like it.

"Long ago our world was bitter and bleak place, but six soon to be mages sought out to find something to bring some light into our world. Soon they found six dragons, those we now know as the light dragons, each representing one of the six known elements, Ignesian, the red, represented the element of fire; Aquarian, the blue, represented the element of water; Terrantiel, the green, represented the element of earth; Aerian, the yellow, represented the element of air; Mentis, the purple, represented the element of the mind; and finally, the largest and eldest dragon, Vitae, the white, represented the element of life.
The dragons were reluctant to share their power with the humans, but eventually they agreed to present each with a portion of their power, creating the first of the human mages, those we now call the Light Mages, and each returned home to spread the news and share their new light with the world.
But with light comes dark, and in sharing their power with the humans, the light dragons broke the seal containing their dark counterparts; Zjarr, Ujë, Tokë, Ajror, Mendje, and Mortemos. Each of these new, dark dragons represented the darkest aspects of the Light Dragons' elements. Where Ignesian created warmth, Zjarr created burns; where Aquarian nourished and hydrated, Ujë drowned, and so on and so forth. Now, Mortemos, well, where Vitae brought life and new beginnings, Mortemos brought death and destruction.
The gods had sealed the Dark Dragons away to protect the land from their power, but there must always be balance, so the Light Dragons were forbidden from using their power, lest they release the darkness upon the world again. The gods took pity upon the new sorcerers who just wanted to bring some light to their world, and once again restored the balance, though this time, instead of sealing the darkness away, they bonded each dragon to a new mage, as the Light Dragons had done with theirs, and to each of the mages, light and dark alike, the gods provided a talisman, sealing the bond between sorcerer and dragon, and thus restoring balance to our kingdom"
The king finished his story and looked at each of the new mages-to-be, "Each of you will go through these doors in a moment, and each of you will be chosen by a talisman, which will be your source of power, so I recommend you take care of them, as they are the only ones that have and will ever exist. Now, you have already been informed on exactly what kind of magic the talismans possess, so I feel no farther explanation is necessary." The king stepped to the side to make way to the door, soon you hear your name called from beyond the door and you enter to be chosen by magic.

So there's an intro for you. As you may be able to tell, the setting is in medieval times, so your characters must fit the time.

Each talisman looks like the one below in shape and design. The light talismans are made of silver metal and the dark are made of black metal. the color behind the dragon varies for each element, and is the same color as the scales of their respective dragons, which are listed in the topic Character Creation ~ Dragons.
