Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments I love to cook...and buy cookbooks. Since I've gone "mostly" vegan - and retired - I've really, really gotten into cooking. I hate to cause envy, but not having to rush to to the grocery store, scrounge around in the fridge and cupboards for something for dinner, and find the magic dish that pleases everyone - all makes cooking so much more fun.

Usually, I do read my cookbooks. However, I don't write a review unless I have actually made four or five recipes.

I have a couple favorite cookbooks, some vegan, some not. How about you? Here are a few I've done lately... I'll talk specific recipes later.

Jazzy Vegetarian Lively Vegan Cuisine That's Easy and Delicious by Laura Theodore Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World 75 Dairy-Free Recipes for Cupcakes that Rule by Isa Chandra Moskowitz The Oh She Glows Cookbook Over 100 Vegan Recipes to Glow from the Inside Out by Angela Liddon The Homemade Vegan Pantry The Art of Making Your Own Staples by Miyoko Nishimoto Schinner Blue Ribbon Baking from a Redneck Kitchen by Francine Bryson Blue Ribbon Baking by Linda Amendt Make It Ahead A Barefoot Contessa Cookbook by Ina Garten Muffins and Quick Breads by John Phillip Carroll

I haven't tried any recipes from this one, but do love reading it. LOL!
