So many books have been made into movies and vice versa. Some have been really good. Some have been really, really bad. A lot have fallen somewhere in the middle.

So my question to you is: What is your favorite book that was made into a movie? (or the other way around works also: What is your favorite book adaptation of a movie?)

Candice | 1 comments I really enjoyed the Divergent series that were made into movies. The new Shadowhunters tv based off the Mortal Instruments is also very interesting. The Great Gatsby movie was also a great book to movie adaptation.

Gone with the Wind is one of my all-time favorite books, but I don't have the same love for the movie. I feel the movie does a disservice to both Rhett and Scarlett by having Rhett declare his love for Scarlett very early on in the relationship (the dance at the armory, I think) whereas in the novel Scarlett is genuinely clueless about his true feelings since he disguises his love so well. Also, I don't think the movie should have cut Wade Hampton and Ella Lorena because Scarlett's maternal feelings, or lack there of, are very relevant to her character. But I loved the costumes!

I keep meaning to see the Divergent movies because I loved the books, but I haven't gotten around to. It's good to hear that they were done well.

I loved the Lord of the Rings movies. I read the books when I was younger, but it was so much fun to see it come to life on the big screen. I also loved the movie Stardust. I saw the movie and learned later that it was a book. It's one of the few times when I can say that the movie was better than the book, at least in my opinion.
