I'm sneaking into this group as while I am Irish, I've betrayed the nation and moved to England. I'm still really keen to keep an eye on everything that is happening in Irish literature, for a couple of reasons. As well as being an avid reader, my debut novel is getting published in September. Speaking of which, can anyone recommend any Irish crime thrillers with strong comedic elements? I'm aware of Bateman but I'm really keen to read anyone else who I've missed. My three favourite authors are probably - Chris Brookmyre, Terry Pratchett (RIP) and Dennis Lehane - but I'm always on the lookout for more!
