Marina (sonnenbarke) Hi guys,

I don't know if this is the right section to post this, so Martha, feel free to move this thread if you think it doesn't fit here.

The Department of Psychological Sciences of the University of Missouri is doing a study on self-harm. There is a questionnaire to be filled, it should take about 15 minutes and it is completely anonymous . You're free to leave the questionnaire anytime if you feel triggered. At the end of the questionnaire, you are free to enter your email address to have the chance to win a 25$ Amzon gift card, though there is no obligation to do so.

I don't know if this is very triggering because I haven't done it yet, but I'm going to try it out right now. I feel the need to help research in this little researched field.

Edit: I haven't added the link, sorry but I'm not very smart today, apparently: https://missouripsych.az1.qualtrics.c...

Martha (marthais) Hi Marina,

No probs, it's a unique topic so doesn't really have an obvious place!

Do you know if they're just looking for people who have self-harmed or for both those who have and haven't? I.e. a test group and a control group?

M

Marina (sonnenbarke) No, they're just looking for people who have.

Marina (sonnenbarke) Here's another study on self-harm, this one conducted by researchers at Glasgow and Stirling University in the UK. Be aware that this is more thorough then the other one, so they say it will require about one hour to complete. I haven't taken it yet so I can't say if/how triggering it is.
