Classics Without All the Class discussion

Hello all.

I've got an assignment to find at least 20 idioms in any book I want. However, I would like to be sure to get a book which has a lot of idioms in it.

Could you help me with finding an appropriate book? Genre is not so important but it should be a book by a British/American writer, preferably a known one.

Shakespeare is where I would look.

Maybe something by Mark Twain?

Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. I found a lot of entertaining dialog in there that we have heard many times since, at least in the pirate community. (o: Not sure if that is what you are looking for but take a look and see.
