I just finished A Gentleman in Moscow and loved it. To me it was a beautiful fairy tale about the indomitability of the human spirit.

Welcome, Drew. We're going to be reading and discussing the Towles book sometime within the next six months. I hope you take part in the discussion.

I will plan to!

Welcome, Jessica. I hope you join in on the discussions.

This is my first online group, so I'll get the knack after a while!
I'm just coming to the end of an Open University history degree, so may, at times, be distracted . . .
I'm looking forward to opinion on Black Swan Green; I've read it twice, and loved it. Other people did not necessarily share my opinion though!

I'll be opening up the discusssion thread tomorrow.

I recently got married and I found that reading books are my new hobby. And also by seeing this thread I'm inspired to read more.
Unfortunately haven't got the copy of Black swan green. I wish to get one soon and share my thoughts too.
Dear Melissa, your way of description about this book is urging me to read it as soon as possible. Thanks for that.
Good day everyone!

It looks like I have been a member of this group, but I have not been active. I got a notice about the February discussion of Farenheit 451 and I am looking forward to joining in.
I am an avid reader of historical fiction, some non fiction and memoir. Science fiction is a bit out of my comfort zone, which is why I want to join this group discussion.
My profile shows a few other details about my interests.
Janet

Thanks for accepting my request to join this group. I'm currently reading Virginia Woolf's To the Lighthouse (second work of VW for me) and Alexandre Dumas Queen Margot and Lee Child's Killing Floor.
I'm a PhD graduate from Glasgow University and for the longest time I've had to read text books related to my thesis on Media and Cultural Studies.
Now that is done and dusted, I'm catching up on my reading list (hence my aim at tackling three novels), rereading classics and finding new ones that I would not have picked given a chance.
This year I've set myself to read ones out of my comfort zone, and hope this group can help :)

Welcome, Jeannie. I hope you join in on the discussions.

This is my first Goodreads group and I am looking forward to discussing books with you.
I mostly read well known classics but am willing to try most genres :)

I'm Macala and I'm in Oregon. I'm looking forward to reading and discussing with all of you. Please give me a little leeway while i get use to this app. I am legally blind and it is always a learning curve with new apps. This app seems rather visually impaired friendly so far, which makes me hopeful.
Good readings to all of you,
Macala
