I would love to know everything you thought about the book! Did you love or hate it? Who was your favorite character, least favorite character?

I LOVED this book! Zuzanna is my favorite thus far and the wotld building is epic plus the writing style. OMG

the first book is really good, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I agree about Zuzanna, she is absolutely brilliant and by far the best character in the entire series.
and its such an interesting concept to read about too.
although personally I didn't enjoy the rest of the series. it kinda let me down, the first book was brilliant though !

Brimstone was my favorite character by far, and the back story in his relationship with Karou/Madrigal was great. The actual plot and story of this book was really interesting and well put together, with some concepts that I hadn't read before in the angel-devil battle. Unfortunately, other than Brimstone (and his crew in the shop) there wasn't a lot that drew me to the characters themselves. The romance is what kept getting in the way for me. If she were just Karou in love with Akiva, that would be fine. But as Madrigal in love with Akiva and then reborn as Karou, I got annoyed. Even though I thought that the Karou/Madrigal double life was a nice part of the story. And using teeth to bring back the dead ....

I love this whole series. My favorite character in the first book has to be Akiva, but as the story continues and they rest of the population of the world is introduced, Ziri becomes my favorite. Lucky, beautiful Ziri.

I did not like this series. Mainly because I really did not like Akiva (or most of the other characters really) and I thought that the romance(s) were too fast and insta-love! It was a shame because I really liked the premise and Taylor's writing was so good ... even though that dragged a fair bit in the second and especially third books, I thought!

I really liked the description of Prague in the first book and the Kasbah in the second, though. I also loved Karou's description of her art in the first, and it made me want to be into art again!

I really enjoyed this! At first I didn't think it was very good,but then when things started to evolve in ways that I didn't expect I begun to like it more and more, amd ended up loving it! Probably the character whom at the beginning i liked less was Karou because she was aesthetically too perfect and made choices i quite didn't understand. Then I grew accostumed to her and now she doesn't seem a bad character at all. Probably the characters i like the most are Brimstone and Zuzana though. All in all a very good book, the story is amazing! i absolutely want to continue the series!
