So much to wrestle with here. I've read only Near to the Wild Heart, and that was in the middle of a particularly stressful move across the country, so I feel I need to read it again. Not a bad proposition, as I liked it and it's Joycean tone the first time around.

I know that many have already delved into the stories with the BTBA, but I didn't do that yet. I need a place to hang my hat as I meander through them, so I created this thread. I'd love to hear other thoughts on her work!

David | 3885 comments I'm curious, has anyone read Lispector's early novels? I've only read her last three - Água Viva, The Hour of the Star, and A Breath of Life.

Does anyone recommend any of her earlier books?

David | 3885 comments Thanks Maria. It's hard to believe she was 23 when it was published.
