Martha (marthais) Regretting this prompt - it's not easy to plan! Let's say they don't have to be super excitedly happy all the time, but generally happy/satisfied/content as opposed to sad/mean/angry most of the time. It can also be a minor character if you're struggling.

Some happy characters I've come across
Meg in The Other Me
Terrence in Corduroy Mansions and The Dog who Came in from the Cold
Augustus in The Fault in Our Stars
Fermin Romero de Torres (sort of) in The Shadow of the Wind
The Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland

Discussion prompts
- What did you / will you read for this task? What did you think?
- Tell us about your happy character! What is their role in the story?

Martha (marthais) For this prompt, I read Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. A great book and a story I've loved for many years.

My happy character is Mr Bingley! He's general a contented fellow who is completely lovely throughout (though very gullible, so definitely not without fault) and so glad that he gets a happy ending!
