I'm currently reading The Dog Who Knew Too Much by Carol Lea Benjamin which is the second book in a mystery series about a private investigator who considers her dog Dash "an unlicensed PI". Dash is a pit bull who is a certified therapy dog. I started with the second book because it sounded more interesting to me than the first. She is investigating the death of a woman who seems to have committed suicide. Rachel Alexander, the protagonist, believes that the victim's dog, an akita, knows the truth.

I'm reading The Heart of Everything That Is: The Untold Story of Red Cloud, An American Legend.

I'm reading The Hidden Life of Dogs by Elizabeth Marshall Thomas. I'm about halfway through, and so far I think it is very interesting. The author is trying to look into the private life of dogs.
