I'm looking forward to watching this. There's not much to watch this summer. Do you know which day Netflix will add it?

As Netflix often does, they have not provided a release date and they are not giving us much info. Numerous articles had stated Aug. 2016, but now I don't know if that is true. I do know filming started last spring and had wrapped in June. It then goes into post production for editing. I will keep you posted as more information becomes available. In the meantime, here's a photo from the set:
Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf in Netflix’s adaptation of “A Series Of Unfortunate Events.”

I adore NPH. He is fabulous every time.

IMDB still has it as Aug. 2016, but usually there would be more information out by now. Netflix might be keeping silent for a reason or maybe the air date has changed. Since their memberships dropped for the first quarter, I would think they would want to release new series' as soon as they are ready to attract new membership.
I'll post when I have any new info.

I'm anxiously awaiting for it to pop up on my Netflix home page. Please do post when you have an air date.
The key word today s "rumors."
Netflix has not announced an official release date. There is a rumor that it will be released in Dec. or Jan. The possible bad news is that rumors say it is only 8 episodes not 13. Rumored to be based from the first four books.
Based on social media posts from the cast, we know that the production wrapped in early August. We also know, from social media and cast interviews, that Joan Cusack, Alfre Woodard, Rhys Darby and John Desantis are also part of "A Series of Unfortunate Events," although Netflix hasn't released that info either.
Also rumored to be included in the cast are: Louis Hynes (Klaus), Malina Weissman (Voilet), Aasif Mandvi (Uncle Monty), K. Todd Freeman (Mr. Poe), Matty Cardarople (One Who Looks Like Neither a Man Nor a Woman) and Jacqueline and Joyce Robbins (Two White-Faced Women). Luke Camirelli, Don Johnson, Elizabeth Bowen and James R. Baylis.
NPH treated the cast, on wrap day, to shaved ice and cotton candy. You can google it to view the posts. NPH placed a sign on the cotton candy truck that said:
This horrible chapter has been sweet.
Hopefully Netflix CAN-DYeem us worthy of a second season!
Unfortunately yours, Neil

Some say this trailer is fake, but I think Netflix is messing with us just like the books do. If it is fake, it's still a great trailer with the perfect music.
