I read about half of the first book like 3 years ago, never really continued even though it's really good. I think I got a bit bored because I've seen the first season of GoT a few times now.
About 2 months ago I decided to skip the rest of the first book and go to book 2, I'm about 200 pages in now. I really don't understand how I haven't read them all yet, because I love what I've read so far.
Oh, and I've seen everything of GoT except for the season that's on now, I'm skipping this one because I want to read the books first.

I'm Olivia, I'm 18 and live in Sydney Australia. I'm ashamed to say I have had and been attempting to read the first novel for over a year now. The series takes out number in intimidating TBR's for me. I've only read a bit over 100 pages so far but love the writing style. I'm a big fan of the show which sparked my interest in the books and since beginning it have fallen deeper in love with my favourite characters and deeper in hate with my those I already despised.

I actually saw this from Jess, which inspired me to join this! I have only seen 2 GoT episodes, but never continued, and I am kind of glad for that. I've heard that if you watch the show before the books, the books aren't as good because you know whats going to happen. I like also how its only 1 book per month, because I feel if I were reading it by myself, I would want to read all 5 at once, and I know I would have a reading slump most definitely.
