So I'm finding this a super quick read - it has a narrative/storytelling style, and because of that I've found it seems to be a bit slower paced than I'd like. Generally speaking, though its enjoyable, and relatable. I spent the first half quietly thinking to myself 'I do that!'
I think as a Project Manager, and someone wanting the next step up the ladder, I do tend to focus a bit too much on what someone will deliver to me, or what this connection could do for me. So the book is a pretty valuable reminder on mindfulness there, and being the kind of person people want to be in a team with, or led by.
I like the thoughts on names - if you can't be bothered learning someone's name, then it's a problem sign (I'm terrible with names.) I also like the story at the end around how the book can be used as a tool in a business setting - overall though, the book doesn't seem to contain the next step around practical application in a business setting - that might be a later book!
If you don't get a chance to read before Fridays book club (although honestly you'll only need 3 ish hours to get through it) then have a watch of this: https://youtu.be/s-X-P0tzlF8.
