Is this your first time reading HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban? I am looking forward to the new HP and the Cruse Child.

C. | 12 comments Hi Monica ,yep my first time, and I'm enjoying it very much, but wish I owned all the books so I could read them all back-to-back.

Isn't the new one a play?

Yes it is. I started reading them when the 2nd or 3rd came out. Then I would have to wait every few years to read the next one. I was part the whole Harry Potter craze. Maybe one day I will re-read them back to back.

Jon Abbott I'm reading The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax, The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax (Mrs. Pollifax #1) by Dorothy Gilman , about a grandmother who decides to spice up her life and she goes to the CIA to become a spy. Delightful not so cozy adventure.

I'm also reading a book labeled "chic lit" because I enjoyed the humor in the title: Thirty-Two Going on Spinster, Thirty-Two Going on Spinster by Becky Monson . The tart and snarky humor is great; I'm having trouble with the purely chic lit parts. (Think make-up choices.)

Finally, I just finished a book (free on KU) that has way to much explicit sex in it (I skipped frequently), but is otherwise a well written delight:
Elliott Kay's Good Intentions, Good Intentions by Elliott Kay .

You will only enjoy it if you find this blurb warning fun:

WARNING: Good Intentions contains explicit sexuality, violence, nudity, inappropriate use of church property, portrayals of beings divine and demonic bearing little or no resemblance to established religion or mythology, trespassing, bad language, sacrilege, blasphemy, attempted murder, arguable murder, divinely mandated murder, justifiable murder, sexual promiscuity, kidnapping, attempted rape, arson, dead animals, desecrated graves, gang activity, theft, assault and battery, panties, misuse of the 911 system, questionable interrogation tactics, cell phone abuse, reckless driving, consistent abuse of vampires (because they deserve it), even more explicit sexuality, illegal use of firearms, polyamory, abuse of authority, hit and run driving, destruction of private property, underage drinking, disturbances of the peace, disorderly conduct, Internet harassment, bearers of false witness, mayhem, dismemberment, falsification of records, tax evasion, an uncomfortably sexy mother, bad study habits, and a very silly white guy inappropriately calling another white guy "nigga" (for which he will surely suffer).

The first one you mentioned sounds like something I would enjoy. I enjoy a good mystery. I haven't read chic lit for a while. When it comes to chic lit I usually give it a couple of chapters to see if I will continue reading it or not. Sometimes the main character can really annoy me.

I'm also someone who tends to read more than one book at a time

Jon Abbott Swept Away, previously Runaway Mistress, by Robyn Carr is women's fiction but not - I suggest - chic lit. Monica, I really like it, but then I'm not always a linear thinker. Here is a review I agree with:

https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/4...

It is not, however, a book that fits within this group's criteria.

Sounds interesting. I clicked on the link, but I got someone's home page and not the review. Maybe I did something wrong.

C. | 12 comments I very much enjoyed the contemporary sweet and clean romance~ Rough Around the Edges Meets Refined (Meet Your Match, #2) by Rachael Anderson which I just finished.

Now I'm on to~ Chicken Soup for the Cat & Dog Lover's Soul Celebrating Pets as Family with Stories About Cats, Dogs and Other Critters by Jack Canfield

I'm missing having a pet so want to enjoy it vicariously through reading other pet owner's stories, lol!
