Emma Jaye | 3693 comments To people who may consider our group to be in violation of amazon and goodreads terms and conditions regarding receiving compensation (in the form of a review) for a review may like to read the following thread on a similar group to ours.
I think it clears up any misconceptions people may have.

Noorilhuda | 522 comments Good going Emma. People will always find a way to trick a system or find fault in it. Neither should be allowed to derail it!

E.G. Manetti (thornraven) | 93 comments Er? Really? Good of you to reconfirm, but I wonder about the agendas of the challengers. (1 or 2 star reviews, mayhap?)

Neil Carstairs | 662 comments Thanks, Emma. It will be reassuring for some people even though I'm sure Goodreads would have closed down groups doing this a long time ago if violations of T&Cs were brought to their attentuon.

Emma Jaye | 3693 comments This has just been confirmed again by a member of the goodreads staff, on the following thread.

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

'we do not allow reviews that have been inappropriately incentivized, whether by monetary compensation or any other form of benefit (such as by a reciprocal arrangement between two authors to swap a five-star rating for a five-star rating).'

As we do not have reciprocal reviews, or ones that guarantee a certain (high) star rating, no matter the quality of the book, we are within goodreads terms and conditions.
