The birth flower for June is the rose. June is known for the large number of weddings that occur over the course of the month. Most countries celebrate Fathers Day in June. June is National Candy Month. Flip a Coin Day is day when making decisions is as easy as flipping a coin. This tradition dates back to Julius Caesar. Caesar would take a coin and flip it to make decisions where the right choice was unclear. June contains the summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, the day with the most daylight hours.
7. Rose: The peach roses got switched to white ones.

8. Wedding: I heard nothing from anyone, not even you, until I got your primly worded letter and an invite to Sissy's wedding, demanding my presence.

9. Something Fatherly: His father had handed him a flat, featherlight package wrapped in blue-and-gold-striped paper. Nook page 295-296 (2 points)

10. Candy: I dug around in the knapsack, pulled out a bag of penny candy I bought at the Zemp's Drug Store yesterday, and tilted the bag toward Miss Emily.

11. Coin: "Now you count every blasted one of those coins and give me my tickets or I'm going to use that pay phone just outside this place to call your superiors."

12. Summer: Bowls of vegetables Sissy and I had put up last summer were passed around, black-eyed peas, butter beans, okra.
