For anyone who has the money this is the most valuable Robert E Howard book for sale right now. On ebay. Glen Lord's copy of A Gent from Bear Creek.
Starting at $19,500! No bids yet. This is the finest copy available.

Michael (dolphy76) | 490 comments Me too! I've seen two other copies of the book....one at the Museum in Cross Plains and the other was in the possession of a distant cousin of REH's. Descendants of Isaac Howard's brother who now live in Sherman, TX. They were at Howard Days last year and had a very beat up copy of the book. Glen Lord's copy is in pristine condition in comparison.

Michael (dolphy76) | 490 comments And it is the only one I know of with an intact dustcover!

Paul Tso | 3 comments Wow, I've never seen an original dust jacket before.
I understand the historical significance of the book, but if I had 19k to spend, I rather purchased a nice set of REH's Weird Tales.

Michael (dolphy76) | 490 comments Girasol Collectables sells repllicas of Weird Tales and other pulp magazines. They run about $35 each and are available on ebay.

Paul Tso | 3 comments Yep, I know Girasol well from the pulp conventions I've attended.
I'm actually looking for a discounted copy of their Weird Tales Gallery (contains all WT covers).

But as a Conan fan, nothing beats owning the holy grail - Weird Tales 12/32 (First Conan).
