The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield

Captivating , haunting prose. A gothic novel.

Fahrenheit 451 is an excellent one. It is about a world where all reading has been outlawed, and follows the story of a "Fireman", someone who is supposed to burn books. The book has some very interesting themes and some might find the sci-fi setting to be a bit detached at times, but it is definitely worth reading.
