A read about a teenage girl who wakes up in a hospital bed and cannot remember the last six weeks of her life, including the accident that killed her best friend--only what if the accident wasn't an accident?

Eighteen-year-old Jill Charron wakes up in a hospital room, leg in a cast, stitches in her face and a big blank canvas where the last 6 weeks should be. She comes to discover she was involved in a fatal accident while on a school trip in Italy three days previous but was jetted home by her affluent father in order to receive quality care. Care that includes a lawyer. And a press team. Because maybe the accident...wasn't an accident. Wondering not just what happened but what she did, Jill tries to piece together the events of the past six weeks before she loses her thin hold on her once-perfect life

I just finished this book! Looking forward to discussing it with you guys. I've talked to a few people who really really liked it. I thought it was lacking a lot ...

I thought it was such a let down that (view spoiler)[ the whole knife thing was really the biggest "thing" in the book, other than her finding out she wasn't a virgin, (hide spoiler)] and then ending when (view spoiler)[ she just all the sudden remembers, and, book ends. (hide spoiler)]. I expected a lot more ups & downs, reveals & twists, but it was pretty flat to me. I enjoyed her friendship with Anna a lot, though.

Finished (view spoiler)[I'm not sure how I feel about Jill possibly getting away with murder, because if her memory is correct it sounds like she did it intentionally. Though it did sound more like a mental snap - like she was just pushed to her breaking point.

Simone was such a terrible friend, if you can even call her that. Making those comments on her blog, knowing how upset they made her, was one of many things. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 1-5

(view spoiler)[Im so into this story right now, it's crazy. Can't believe that Jill had a car accident that not only killed her best friend but wiped 6 weeks from her memory. I hate that Simones mom was being so mean about Jill in the police interview, basically saying she was jealous of Simone and because of her parent's divorce, she was being brought up properly. How awful. I get that her daughter died, but does she know for a fact that Jill crashed the car on purpose and intended to kill her best friend? No, she doesn't.

Also that lawyer was a complete jerk. He shouldn't have shown up like that, then to tell Jill that Simone had died and act like he thought Jill was stupid or something, what a dick. This book is gonna infrutirate me and make me sad, isn't it? (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 6-10

(view spoiler)[Oh so there was a guy involved. Someone who should have been supervising the trip. I have read so many books lately where teachers or people in authority have relationships with students. What's up with that? Haha.

I don't think having a macbook in rehab with her will help Jill's recovery. She's gonna spend all her time poring over articles about herself and I don't think it will help in the long run. Her therapist seems nice though. So helpful. And I don't get why she hates Sam? (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 11-15

(view spoiler)[Urgh, so it looks like her dad thinks she killed Simone. I hate him and the lawyer dude so much! One minute they're like Jill's an adult and she should be prepared to clear her name, then they're overruling her and stopping her therapy. These guys suck! The dad is only concerned with his image and reputation. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 16-20

(view spoiler)[I don't think that Jill had sex with Nico. I get the impression that he's lying and he wants people to think he's a stud. He looks like the likely suspect right now. I don't wanna believe that Jill killed Simone, despite the mounting evidence.

Her mom doesn't look so sure though. Her parents definitely think she did it.

Chapters 21-25

(view spoiler)[I really think that Nico did it! You can not convince me otherwise. But when is Jill gonna get her memory back? We're at 78% now, and we're still nowhere closer to that or finding out the truth?

Jill's dad and Evan are massive colossal gigantic huuuuuge dicks! Leaking photos of Jill without her knowledge to make her seem sympathetic? Get the fuck out of here. You're just riling people up now! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[WAIT WAIT WAIT.. SIMONE TRIED TO KILL HERSELF PREVIOUSLY?? WHY IS THIS ONLY BEING REVEALED NOW? Because it's a plot twist. Yeah I know. I think that Tara and her mom's story is the most likely now.

BUT WHAT WAS ALL THAT STUFF WITH SIMONE BEING THE BLOG TROLL???? Maybe she was jealous of Jill, coming from a rich family and being smart, and she wanted to take her down a peg or two? There's something big coming, I can feel it. (hide spoiler)]
