Great idea!
One of my favorite authors is Adele Whitby. She is not a Christian, but writes some great historical fiction mysteries! I really like her Secrets of the Manor series. Here's the first book in it: Beth's Story, 1914. I can't wait for her to write another book!

I love older books, and picking just a few favorites is so very hard....
Constance Savery is one of my top favorite authoress's though, and E. P Roe. Some of their books are Enemy Brothers
and Opening a Chestnut Burr

My favorite book is The Giver--it's been my favorite on and off since sixth grade, and it still holds up today.
