Funniest thing...guess who was on tonight's show.

I'm going to bring this up now because I keep meaning to bring it up, and I keep forgetting -- when Stephen goes mainstream, and Larry Wilmore gets his own show in Stephen's old slot, what should we do with this group? Should we include Larry Wilmore's guests' books? And do we rename the group -- to include Larry Wilmore? to take off Colbert? to just Jon Stewart? What do other group members think?
Argh! Stephen has no idea how much grief this change is causing!

And that brings up another question I was wondering -- do we say this is *Jon Stewart* and *Stephen Colbert* and (now) *Larry Wilmore*, in that it's *any* of their talk shows, or do we restrict this to the 11-12:01 Comedy Central time slot? In other words, do we keep tracking Mr. Colbert even after he moves to CBS?

Good questions, Tiffany. I'm guessing there will be a gap between when Colbert leaves and when Wilmore starts. We can leave the picture the same for that period, but as soon as Wilmore starts, we should change the picture to include him.
I would not change any of the books (don't "peel" off Colbert). We should just add The Minority Report as one of the options when we list the book. We probably should change the name to Something more inclusive - Comedy Central News Shows, for instance. I'm not in love with what I suggested or any other suggestions, let me ruminate.
I do not think we should include Colbert once he goes to CBS. If he features authors, it should be a separate group.
I'm so going to miss him from Comedy Central at the end of the year - especially not knowing when he will be starting on CBS.

I think I agree with your assessment, and most of it was what I was already considering: add Larry Wilmore in to the group's profile picture (*cry*), while not taking out Stephen (yay, but still a little *cry* -- not that I have anything against Larry Wilmore; it's just going to be hard to not see Stephen anymore. And I know he's still on TV, but it goes back to my whole existential crisis of "WHICH SHOW DO I WATCH AT 11:30?!?!"); list The Minority Report as one of our shelves; and not include CBSbert in our bookshelf.
Personally, though, I wouldn't want to change the group's name, because I'm so attached to it! :) We can add Larry Wilmore/The Minority Report to the description, but ... but ... but the name is the only thing we'll have left of our dynamic duo!!! *SOB*
Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

For Tiffany - I'm really going to miss Stephen from Comedy Central, too. I already record Stewart and Colbert every night - in case I go to sleep.
I don't want to unintentional "diss" Wilmore though by neglecting adding his name, but we will continue to think about this.
Sherlocked - Fake News Central is possibly acceptable, but I never felt we were listening to fake news. I always felt it was real news told in a funny (and often truer) news.
We will keep talking.

Yeah, I know what you mean. But I was referring to something else.
Fake news means a type of parody presented in a format typical of mainstream journalism. It is also called News Satire.
The Colbert Report and The Daily Show fall in this category.

Sherlocked wrote: "This week Colbert announced that Wilmore was going to replace him on January 2015. A few months left to enjoy his show."
Yes, and what I've seen, Colbert won't take over for Letterman until at least the fall of 2015.
I don't know if I can Colbert-free for that time, personna or not.

wow, so many things to see. I used to watch the old Daily Show videos that had Colbert on them but it has been harder now that they changed the way their website works.

ah, me neither. The Colbert Report is one of my favorite shows.

So it's not just me?!? I always hate missing an episode of Jon or Stephen, but over the last year or so I REALLY hate it because I can never watch a full episode on their websites! I have to watch each segment, one by one. It's so frustrating! I thought maybe it was because I have an old computer and it seems like most sites nowadays tell me "OH MY GOD! YOUR COMPUTER'S OLD! WE DON'T SUPPORT YOUR BROWSER! UPGRADE! UPGRADE!! DEATH AND DOOM!!!", but then I tried it on my parents' new tablet (okay, I was playing with their new toy), and it didn't work there, either!

Really?, that's weird.
I can watch full episodes the problem is that it's more difficult to find shows made years ago.
Try getting AdBlock for google chrome and see if it works. The ads on the website can become annoying and slow the computer.
