The Passage trilogy readalong discussion

So when Amy is letting Wolgast go, he says that she is in love.

First, thoughts on where Wolgast is going??

Second, thoughts on who Amy is in love with??

Question 1, heaven or something like it. Amy is with him in this scene in a dream state.
Question 2, Peter

I think some may consider it heaven, but I see it more like a different plane of existence. The virals seem to be able to exist in the "in-between." Amy escorts Wolgast from the "in-between" to his final destination as I imagine she did with all the others. This in-between is not bound by natural time. He is now back with Lila and their daughter. Having read now CoM, I can't comment further on this, but I like Cronin's view of eternity a bit better than I like a lot of evangelicals'.

It is obviously Peter...she goes back to him in her viral form as Wolgast did to her then she leaves him to return to Carter.

Thank you for saying that it will be explained more in CoM, I haven't started it yet but this long weekend is probably going to allow time!!

It just didn't feel like heaven, in the common sense of the term, so that's why I asked the question.
