The Girl With Ghost Eyes was great, imo. Immigrants in turn of the century China Town, San Francisco and magical realism.
The Girl with Ghost Eyes is one of my favorites too!
I grew up near San Francisco, so I usually enjoy reading books that take place there.
I read Menagerie, which was really well done. It was a little intense at times. I started The Girl With Ghost Eyes this weekend.I've had to cut back on Reader's Choice recently as I have too many unread books on my shelves at home as it is.
The Girl Who Wrote in Silk is the winner of the Fall 2016 Reader's Choice!The Hummingbird came in second place and Girl Waits with Gun came in third.
