{Bend The Light ~ Control The Dark} An Original RPG discussion

((Ignore the modern touches, there weren't any pictures of medieval bakeries that would work...))

Blythe sighed as she pushed open the heavy door to the bakery, a basket in hand. Her brother was supposed to have gotten the bread for their family yesterday, but for reasons unknown, didn't, and the task was left to her. She walked up to the counter, ready to order.

Sophie walked to the counter just as she heard the doorbell ring. she smiled sheepishly as she looked at her flour covered hands. Sophie saw Blythe standing there as she looked up. " Oh hi Blythe, need more bread I'm guessing. Your brother came here yesterday, although he didn't buy any bread." She said as she chuckled lightly.

"Yeah," Blythe grinned, "a renowned idiot. He hasn't been home all day today either, so whatever he's up to..." she trailed off and rolled her eyes sarcastically. "How've you been?"

"Oh you know, the usual. Not many customers though." She sighed and looked up at Blythe " So what can I get for you? "

"The weather's nice today, maybe more'll come in?" Blythe gave an optimistic smile. "Could I have two each of bialy, baguette, and brioche, please? And I need to set an order for a set of cream tarts. It's the twins' birthday next week."

" Sure, I'll get them. " As Sophie returned she said with a little grin " Don't tell your brother or my mom, but I snuck two strawberry cream tarts for the twins, free of charge, my treat. Tell them I said happy birthday too. " As she gave a price she smiled, but said nothing.

((No prob! And sorry it took me awhile, I had dinner and chores))

"Aww, Soph, you're the sweetest," Blythe smiled, eyes filled with wonder at the gift. "The twins will die when they see these." She pulled out some coins to pay for the breads and handed them to her. "I'll bring them by sometime so they can thank you properly," Blythe smiled wide.

" That would be great, I haven't seen them in a while anyway " Sophie said as Blythe walked back to the door.

Blythe grinned and looked outside for a general estimation of what time it was. "Hey, do you need help baking anything?" she asked, as she had some time to spare.

"I could use a little help...... but do you even know how? Are you sure you want to help me?" She asked

((I'd love to help! Is it the rping the baking process that's troubling or just rping itself? Or something else? No matter what it is, I'd love to be of assistance!!:) and you're doing fantastic so far!!))

"I'd love to," Blythe grinned. "I help my mom make certain things at home, but if you just tell me what to do, I'll do it," she said optimistically.

" Okay, if you want to..... could help me put flour on this and roll it out " Sophie instructed as she led Blythe in the back and showed her around.

"Ok," Blythe said, setting down her basket and washing her hands before finding a rolling pin to do as she was told.

As Blythe did that she started putting finished ones in the oven, she looked at the clock and found it almost closing time.

Blythe smiled, enjoying baking with her, and brushed the flour on her hands onto her dress, not minding that it left marks. "Anything else I can do to help?"

" No you can go, I just need to wrap up the shop. And thank you it really helped me." She replied as she went to hang up her apron and wipe down the counter and tables.

"Not a problem," Blythe smiled. "It was really a lot of fun. I haven't baked this much in a long time," she said, pulling her hair out of its pin. "I'll see you hopefully soon then," Blythe waved, picking up her basket and heading to the door.
