She has written a series of mysteries, starting with "Mistress of the Art of Death" set in the 12th Century. The main character is a female physician who specializes in forensic pathology (thus the title).
It sounds highly improbable, but the concept works.

I know! It was very confusing for me at first. I heard people talking about New Moon but it didn't sound at all like the book on my wishlist!
