So for anyone who didn't read the last thread about this basically I have a really close friend who is a guy and everyone at my school thinks I like him. We handle it well and joke about it all the time but now even my teacher is going all "don't flirt guys". We don't flirt, atleast neither of us think we do...
And then his girlfriend who is super sweet and amazing goes to him all like "do you like her?" In regards to me which I found ridiculous because she moved and doesn't even see my friend and I talk, but she still asked him and I don't really know what to do to get people to stop with the "do you guys like each other?" And the "you'd make such a cute couple"

amy y | 13 comments I guess it's impossible to stop all the talk... since everyone all wants to believe what they want to believe even though it's not true. I suppose it's important to make sure his girlfriend knows at least... so I guess you should just like clarify it w/ her even though you said it a lot before. and maybe if ppl see him and his gf a lot they will stop making the wrong assumption about you.

like i said, she moved. i havent seen her in like 7 months

amy y | 13 comments can you talk to her online or on the phone...? wait they are doing long distance relationship then...?

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeh they are... And I talk to her sister but not her

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

So I've kinda decides to just let it go. Now my friend and I just make a huge over dramatic deal of "my crush on him" that doesn't actually exist. Today he gave me his sweaty sweatshirt as a gift to remember him by...then I whipped him with it.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Aww, how cute! XD just teasing. I'm happy that you've decided to just let it go. That's the mature thing to do.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

Hahahaha that's what my teacher said, that is the cute part. We were just joking cuz we had been playing soccer on the pavement and he basically tackled me twice so yeh. He felt pretty bad about it. But we were joking that it would be worth alot of money when he's famous and he didn't want me to forget him. It was pretty hilarious

Sara Stephenson | 18 comments Cute :) I kinda with you liked each other now,but sometimes the magic's just not there. Good for you for just ignoring people. They can be jerkfaces

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

You kinda what? Sorry list in translation there

message 11: by Sara (new)

Sara Stephenson | 18 comments sorry, I kinda *wish* you liked each other

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Ah ok :)

He's kinda like my big brother but not really. Now he just "flirts" and I "swoon" and then yell at him for doing something stupid. It's a strange relationship we have. And then I also get protective so he calls me his mom even though in younger than him

message 13: by Sara (new)

Sara Stephenson | 18 comments haha, way fun :) guyfriends are the best

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Right? I love it.
But even my mom and teacher think I like him. Like goodness people he's my friend

Emma Belle (EmmsterBelle) People always just assume stuff...they don`t look at all the facts.

message 20: by Bitterblue (new)

Bitterblue The Penguin | 76 comments So I got one. See, my best guy friend and I used to talk all of the time and he would always ask me who I liked. At the time I liked him, so I said I would tell him if he told me. He always said he liked someone else so I would say that I didn't like anyone. Then the Tolo (Girl's ask guys dance) came up and I asked him to go with me as friends. We went and it was fun, but now he won't talk to me anymore. Did I like, crush him by asking him as a friend or did he not ever like me or what the heck is going on?

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

I honestly have no idea. I would just say to go talk to him. It sounds a little scary but I don't know how you'd go about finding anything out any other way.

Bitterblue The Penguin | 76 comments Yay confrontation, my 'favorite' thing. :p

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

I know it's hard. It helps if you take it lightly and joke around

message 24: by Bitterblue (new)

Bitterblue The Penguin | 76 comments Alright. Wish me luck!

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

Fingers crossed

message 26: by Sara (new)

Sara Stephenson | 18 comments That's rough, but keep in mind that guys dont think about stuff as much as girls do. Maybe he's just been busy and doesnt mean to avoid you. But as far as defining relationships go, as hard as it can be, just ask him flat out if he likes you. It saves a ton of worrying, and if you dont make it a big deal, he wont :) good luck and let us know how it goes!

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes please let us know!

message 28: by Emma Belle (new)

Emma Belle (EmmsterBelle) I agree. Talk to him and let us know what happens!

message 29: by Bitterblue (new)

Bitterblue The Penguin | 76 comments I'm not sure if I have the guts. Would it be weird to text him and ask him after like three or four months? like not just flat out ask him right off the bat, but bring it up after a little bit?

message 30: by Emma Belle (new)

Emma Belle (EmmsterBelle) I wouldn`t wait that long. You should definitely talk to him within the next week b/c if he does like you now than he probably will assume you don`t like him if you don`t talk to him. I wouldn`t bring up that you like him but I would text or talk to him and ask him why he`s ignoring you.

Alright thanks.

message 32: by Emma Belle (new)

Emma Belle (EmmsterBelle) How did talking to him go?

message 33: by Bitterblue (new)

Bitterblue The Penguin | 76 comments Well, I sorta gave up on that whole thing. I realized that I didn't really like him that much, so yeah... :P

message 34: by Maryanne (new)

Maryanne | 100 comments You know I have this problem I like my older friend, but he does this stuff that I don't like and I don't know what to do. He's cute, and nice but I haven't talked to him in a while, and he won't answer me. Is he too busy or what? Sometimes I just feel like giving up, and just move on. Should I do that? Or what?...

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

By stuff you don't like what do you mean

message 36: by Maryanne (new)

Maryanne | 100 comments Like he does hookah, and he goes to belly dancing clubs. That's like sexiest right? I don't like that. He also smokes, at least that's what I saw on his Instagram pictures, and he does cigars. I don't like that.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

Ok I understand this really well. This guy, the one I mentioned above, he has some bad habits that go along with the smoking and such. And if you really care about this dude I know firsthand that you need to push past that. Be a good friend first and once you're close you can help him stop. It'll take time but eventually it'll stop. And don't give up on him, I don't think you should ever give up on a person

message 38: by Maryanne (new)

Maryanne | 100 comments Thanks. But he hasn't replied to my text messages :( and I don't know why.

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah I get that to.... I have no solution
