Espionage and the underworld have long been inter-mingled, as you well know.

For anyone unaware of the long history of great French crime movies, here's a convenient list. Its a festival currently playing in New York. Imagine being able to see some of these on the big screen.

Of course, its not like the old days...there's really only one theater left which still does this. Nevertheless, you may wanna add some of these titles to your private 'watchlist' (I'm speaking to those of you who rent and view movies in your home).
