Well, he's back again. Nick's now a security expert for United Allied Security, the company providing security for the Mall of America. Did you understand his career decision? Was he competent here? Do you think he was asked to the scene legitimately or was he part of the conspiracy plot, counting on him being unaware of ulterior motives?

Phrynne | 607 comments I think the author is really pushing her credibility in trying to find ways to put Nick and Maggie in the same frame. She should just have put them living and working in the same place from the start:)

I'm tired of the same old, tired storyline involving these two. They never move forward or backwards, just moving in place. I'd pay the author to resolve this, one way or the other.

I really don't understand this career move or where Nick gained the experience to be qualified as a security expert. This was the dumbest career move, IMO.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I thought Maggie and Nick would get together a few books back, but they're still in the same place as book 2. Why does the author keep putting them together and then doing nothing with it? It's so tiring.

A lot of former police go into security when they leave law enforcement. I'm assuming he had some kind of training that would qualify him for the position.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments Kava just needs to let this relationship go. It's not working and contriving the new job for Nick just so that he can Maggie can work together again is forced.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments This book just didn't do it for me on any level; Nick showing up in three different job descriptions in this series (so far) is a huge stretch, and I am tired of it.
