Reading & Rambling discussion

Hello and welcome to the Reading & Rambling book club!
I'm beyond excited that we already have so many people :D I thought it would be nice to have a place where we can get to know one another, and share our channels if we feel so inclined.

I'll start :)

I'm Vanessa, I'm 25 (though I'll be 26 very soon), and I'm also an aspiring author. I love to read and write YA Fantasy!
I live in the U.S., more specifically on the East Coast.
I've been on booktube for less than a year, and I've found that my favorite type of videos to make are silly skit videos where I dress up as book characters.
My favorite Disney Princess is Ariel, though Rapunzel is a close second. And my all-time favorite TV show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I am a huge high fantasy fan doesn't matter if its middle grade, ya or adult anything fantasy is good.

Hi! I'm Devin- I am almost 19 and I live in Canada!!! I have been on booktube for just over a year now and I absolutely love it! I pretty much will read anything that sparks my interest- it doesn't matter what genre it is.
My favourite movie is Deadpool, my favourite tv show (currently) is The Originals and I am really excited to be a part of this group!

I really want to watch the Vampire Diaries, but I am one of the unfortunate human beings without Netflix so I am still working on that lol

Awww. So then you weren't confused in the beginning of the Originals? Because season 3 of TVD did all this set up for it.

Hey guys! I'm Michela, I just turned 19 a few days ago, and I live in the U.S. in the state of Texas! I've only been actively posting videos on booktube for a little over a month, so not very long compared to everyone else! I'm a huge fantasy fan and I'm a Game of Thrones fanatic of both the tv show and the books!

It's weird, I actually wasn't confused. I know that TVD did a backdoor pilot for it, but they explained it all in The Originals pilot for the people who didn't watch TVD before

That's true! I do remember finding the Original's pilot episode being very repetitive, lol.

I watched a few episodes, but I didn't feel as attached to the characters as I do to the TVD ones. I have been meaning to try season 2, though, because there's an actor I liked from Teen Wolf in that season.

I'm Alyssa, I'm 17 and am going to be a senior in high school. When I graduate I want to work in film industry in props, whether that be a properties master or something along those lines.
I live in Michigan, in a town with a graduating class of over 400, which is awful.
I've been on booktube for almost 2 years now, and I still don't know what I'm doing. I'm awful at uploading on time and editing videos but it's fun so I continue to do it.
My favorite tv shows are Doctor Who, Once Upon A Time, and Sherlock.
I really enjoy SciFi/Fantasy but I also tend to read a lot of realistic fiction. I'm willing to try any book except for horror. I just can't do that to myself.
I'm also a complete nerd with most things so if I like something, I normally won't shut up about it. Also, warning in advance, I might get super rambly from time to time so sorry if that happens :)

I've also always been interested in the film industry, I took a couple film classes in college and loved them!
I don't really read horror either, except the Diviners series by Libba Bray, because I didn't realize it was horror when I picked it up. But by then it was too late and I was invested in the story XD

Hi, everyone. This is exciting. I tried to be in a book club before and the club did not get beyond one meeting. So that was sad. Hope this one lasts.
Ok I'm from Phoenix Arizona and older than everyone here. Yikes. I watch a lot of book tubers ( for years ). My sisters and I started a YouTube channel but that was recently and it is not only for books. So I won't post it. (However it makes me nervous to do the videos, how do you all do it?!). I promised I would do it for a year so I will. Be lately I have been thinking about going into podcasting. Sigh! Do any of you podcast?!
Well I read a lot of books. Mostly realistic fiction like the books from John Green. However, I loved the Harry Potter series ( recently I had issue with the author and I'm torn ) and I started to read YA Fantasy. I love them. The latest I loved was the lunar chronicles. I hope it turns into film.
Right now, for TV, I'm so into Pretty Little Liars! I'm going to a big finale party ( by you tubers that made it on the tv show) I'm excited!
Finally, I love to go to book parties with authors and I love to get autographs. Ok this is long enough.

I love Doctor Who too! But I am only on Season 7!! I've heard really good things about Sherlock too, but I haven't had time to watch it yet, same goes for Once Upon A Time

Really? Do you know who he played? I just finished Season 2 so I would hopefully know who he is. But you should definitely watch the rest of the show, it gets absolutely fantastic!!!

I love Pretty Little Liars so much! And, yes, the lunar chronicles would make such a great movie series.
