Margo (dandylines) Reads as easily as a novel, but is non-fiction. Makes science accessible and interesting and tells the story of the Lacks family easily and honestly. A sometimes painful story, punctured with humor and emotion balanced by impeccable research into medical history. If you have not read it, I would highly recommend it.
There were times I could not put it down and times I had to put it down because of the raw emotions sometimes described. Easy to read science and fascinating to read the progress of medical science, medical ethics and the complex issues over ownership of human cells. I am now giving it to my DH who will love it also.
