I read this book once years ago and have not been able to find it since. Its a vintage romance I believe it was Mills and Boon. About a young girl who wanted to be a musician so she moved to the city and she met a man and fell in love. They moved in together then she found out she was pregnant, when she told him he told her that he was already married. She left and went back to her close minded village where sex out of wedlock was frowned upon. Had the baby, but her Uncle told her that the baby boy died when in fact he signed papers giving up the baby for adoption. Turns out that the brother of the man she was involved with ends up raising the baby as his son. And now he's come looking for her in her village years later because the man she was involved with has died and he has left her some money I think and he wants her to sign away her rights to it or the little boy because he thinks she's a gold digger. I'm not sure really why he came looking for her but either way she ends up going back with him, and he realises that his brother lied to her and she ends up meeting his 'son' and seeing that the little boy is hers because he has her red gold hair. And she and him end up together.
