Goodreads policy is to keep all published covers on the site, as users want to shelve the cover of the copy they have. Instead, we add an alternate-cover edition. See Author FAQ and Adding an alternate-cover edition.

Thank you so much! Although, I am trying to do the same thing with the book "The Promise" with this new cover https://www.amazon.com/Promise-C-Wils... and am having a difficult time updating the same way. Am I doing something wrong?

Some of the editions of The Promise were not linked to your profile. I corrected the author name and merged (=deleted) duplicates.

Please check if this page lists all the editions of The Promise. You can set the default edition by following Dobby's link in #2

As the author, you have the ability to change which edition of the book is the default, which will come up in searches by title and show on your author profile.
