What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Hey all! Im trying to find this teen book that I hay have read around 2013. All I can remember is that in the beginning there is this big scene that takes place is a self-driving car where you program the gps and it drives you. I think the main character was a girl. And I think the self-driving car crashed or derailed its self. I believe the stpry also takes place during a time where the govt controlled everything. Thanks!

Again the main character is a boy, but he thinks his girlfriend is killed in a crash of a self-driving car that his dad programmed to crash. She isn't actually dead and becomes one of the three main characters when she turns up again.
