Leahxx (heyitsleahxx) | 326 comments I prefer real books because I like owning the actual, physical book. I like turning the pages and being able to look back and put it on my shelf and I just like books. I'm not against eBooks and such, but I wouldn't like reading off of them all the time

Hannah (hannahsmanyhobbies) Ebooks are good for night reading but I like physical books best :)

message 3: by Joi (new)

Joi | 140 comments I love physical books, but they get expensive at times, so e-books are more affordable. I like them a lot, and they allow me to be more comfortable.

Jessica Samons (jessicaxnichole) | 9 comments ebooks are best for me. I have 2 small kids that destroy pretty much everything I love... including almost every book I own.

message 5: by Vi (new)

Vi I love so much having the book physical but (in where I live) the books are really expensive so most of them I have to read on Ebook :(

Leahxx (heyitsleahxx) | 326 comments That's the only problem with books, they're so pricey :(

Shadowhunter's Library (shadowhunters-library) I don't have much of a problem with ebooks, I do prefer physical books because I just love the feel of it and turning the pages and putting it on your bookshelf, but I do enjoy reading ebooks since I can have like 536 previews on it (since I don't buy ebooks since I have no money to spend on ebooks).

Yeah it hurts my eyes as well

Funmbi (the-book-was-better) I love them both. With ebooks it's easier to highlight my favorite quotes and parts. It's also easier to just carry around my kindle.
Real books however are still very much amazing. I especially love hardcover books and I love going to bookstores and actually buying them. I'm also slightly obsessed with bookmarks and I love using them, something I definitely can't do with a ebook :)

Cozy Beauty Reads (myfictionplace) im on the ebook team. i never thought ill like reading my kindle as much as i do but its great. im a mom and son like to rip paper with my kindle i keep stored away so he cant get to it. i like that i can pretty much get any book i want without waiting. it fits into my lifestyle. sorry real books lol.

These Violent Delights (Robin) I prefer Hardback, but I do read ebooks as well. Depends on the book, if it's short or an ebook exclusive or I'm not a fan of the cover then I'll buy it as an ebook. But other than that, I buy Hardbacks or paperbacks

Jayda | 28 comments I need the physical copy in my hand so I can flip the pages and sniff them. I have really bad eyes also so reading on a device I for a long time makes me squint and stuff. Also having a shitload of "physical" books on your "physical" bookshelf is great, just sitting in your room looking pretty.

message 14: by Alina (new)

Alina (linidevo) I read both but I prefer paper. I need to feel the book. Sniff jt

Alina (linidevo) UGH I'm doing this on my phone and I keep accidentally hitting the send button before I finish

message 17: by Alina (new)

Alina (linidevo) I need to run my fingers over the pages just to absorb the essence of the print. I can cpnnec

message 18: by Alina (new)

Alina (linidevo) Connect* better with paper copies

message 19: by Angelique (new)

Angelique (bookgoddess323) I love the texture, feeling, even the smell of a real, physical book. But I usually read the electronic version because 1) Paper books are more expensive. 2) I have little siblings that like to destroy books. 3) I can't read them at night, without turning on a lamp or something. 4) I can't carry a stack of books around with me wherever I go, but I can carry around my kindle with me!

message 20: by Veraa (new)

Veraa (carnaldamage) I'm really considering on looking for an ereader. My mum has one and she says it's really useful. I think I would like it to get the books I'm like halfsure of that I'm going to like them. Because a lot of my to read list on gr is from stuff i find randomly and then just add it. but to really buy them all physically is not only super expensive but I probably wont have the room for it.

Denise (destiny_chan) | 13 comments I was really skeptical of the whole ebooks thing in the beginning, but I decided to give it a try and ever since I got my kindle I've been a big fan. It's definitely not the same as having a "real" book in your hands, but it's practical, it's often far cheaper to buy the kindle version of a book (especially considering that I need to have all physical books I buy shipped to Finland, which is expensive and takes forever), and I've discovered a lot of awesome books that aren't available in print yet. Nevertheless, I'll never stop buying paper books - all my favourite books I just have to have on paper (if available), just so I can pet them and sniff them and sit in front of my bookshelf saying "my preciousssss"...

message 22: by Yumna (new)

Yumna (yumnaftab) | 4 comments I prefer real books over e-books but that's just because i have poor eye sight and the electronic devices hurt my eyes more than physical reading would. There's just something about the feel of a book in your hand, the pages, and the font, and everything, it contributes to the overall experience of the book in my opinion. However, kindles are more easy to carry around and as many people have pointed out, their kids cant tear out pages from their favourite books if its on a kindle so yay ;) Oh and books are pricey :( And i'm broke most of the time/
