So, this month we have a classic as our Book of the Month - Heart of Darkness

I will read it once I've finished one of my current books.

gonna get a copy of this after me holiday, I think it's on the gilmore list too?

Any of you guys read this yet? I have a couple of books to read from netgalley then I think I'll start with this one.

Yeah me. I think it was okay but just not 'for me'. I didn't dislike it or anything but as a matter of personal taste I wouldn't re-read it or anything

Tinka is quite right not a great read - considered a classic but really a bit heavy and turgid.

Decided that this is to be my next kindle read.

Well halfway through this book now and finding it to be dull. seems to be rambling on and nothing much happening.

Heart of Darkness - great book if you want to have a sleep.

Managed to read half of it sat in A&E ideal place to read something as dull as this. :-)

The film Africa Queen is actually taken from a book and the book is good fun - could try that,

Finished this one. wasn't too bad in the end, the second half of the book picks up a bit. I also figured out Apocalypse now was based on it, so that helped a bit trying to spot all the similarities.

Also means another book crossed off the Gilmore challenge. yay
