The Beast of Barcroft won our Group Read poll by one vote! (Or should I say a whisker?) We'll be starting it this weekend, Saturday August 6th and this is where we'll be discussing it. Please use spoiler tags and chapter tags. Happy reading, fellow Gore & Mores!

Lena Yay!!! Richard Severance and Dr. Standingcloud were my favorite characters. The MCs were a little dull, and I may have wanted to slap the lesbian doormat in the shitty relationship, but overall I enjoyed this story and the sequel!

Emma Just made a start on this. It's quite short. Really enjoying it so far!

D20 | 173 comments Sounds like it might be good. I'll get a start today.

Emma It's actually very funny!

Emma Wow, this author knows how to launch a surprise! This is absolutely excellent!

Does anyone else love the dialogue in this story too? To me, it has shades of Tarantino.

Emma I agree. I also think the author must be a similar age to me because some of the references would be easy to miss...it's fast and smart

D20 | 173 comments Hm. Mixed feelings. The idea is good but the writing itself isn't grabbing me.

Jennifer | 52 comments Ditto D20. The writing is a bit odd. Will keep going

Jennifer | 52 comments I'm sorry, but I had to bail out. I'm really fussy when it comes to humour (I'll admit to having no sense of humour) and this book was trying to be funny when it wasn't appropriate.

The story seemed quite interesting, but I just couldn't force myself through it.

Hope you all liked it though!
