“The modern Romeo and Juliet love story in all aspects concerned”
This book is mainly about two best friends who live in a utopian society. In this society, success of women called “Eves” depends on the guy who chooses them to wed. Because of this, Freida, the follower of Isabel pushes herself so much to shine in her last year of school and she ends self-destructing, and Isabel, the #1 Eve for 10 years, breaks down from all the pressure put on her by the chastitys ( teachers), by the other eves and by herself. This book has a lot of mystery and a bit of betrayal and love, so if you're in to drama, you should totally read the book. Also, all the questions you have of the book are answered in a very unexpected manner at the end of the book. Even though I really liked this book, it was a really unsettling book to read, because it was treating women in an extreme manner and because of this I thought the writer was mocking the way humans treat woman, both from earlier times and today. I recommend this book to all women out there, because it teaches us that if we want respect from men, it has to start with treating each other right, and respecting the decisions and opinions of other women, even if that's not your opinion.
