Oh oh. Stannis and Jon are not exactly buddies to say the least.

Re: Jon being Lord Commander and not quite believing it himself

It's like putting on new clothes. Sam had told him. The fit feels strange at first but one you've worn them for a while you get to feeling comfortable.

What a great quote. I love Samwell!

Melisandre prophesied Jon death, I believe. He is becoming more wargish. Do you think maybe he could transfer his body into Ghost?

Every time I read about the wall I instantly get cold. I hate being cold. I wish I had Melisandre power to stay warm.

Terry ~ Huntress of Erudition When Jon was with the Wildings in the previous books going up the Wall with Ygritte, I remember such a feeling of dread when I was reading that part, like being in a nightmare where you are desperately trying to do something and keep getting pulled back.

Me too! Especially in Jan.

Terry ~ Huntress of Erudition Leslie, you should be used to it, I bet you have your own Wall, up there in Manitoba!

That is very true. I felt that before too, even when Jon was going to the wall the first time. I just wanted Jon to turn around.

Milisandre is so creepy.

RJ - Slayer of Trolls (hawk5391yahoocom) So great to see what Jon's been up to. It was a shock to see Samwell there, then I realized that this chapter takes place around the beginning of the time of A Feast For Crows so Sam is still at the Wall.
