I don't understand something. It happened when Catelyn was at the Frey's too.
Davos has been given bread and salt. It seems to give guests a feeling of safety.
Does anyone understand this? I do not.

I thought it was part of a code. That if you break your bread you are safe from harm. I am assuming some sort of friendship. You don't break bread with your enemies.
Fisherman's daughter is Jon's mother? Does anyone believe that?
Stannis is in the worst possible place to sitting at. News gets to the wall soooo slowly. I mean he has the Red Witch, but obviously she doesn't know what is going on or they would have known of Tywin sooner or the baby switch. She is a bad predictor of events.

I think it's something associate with "The Guest Right" this is from Wiki of Ice and Fire:
The Guest Right is a sacred law of hospitality. When a guest, be he common born or noble, eats the food and drinks the drink off a host's table beneath the host's roof, the guest right is invoked. Bread and salt are the traditional provisions.
From what I understand, violating the guestright is the worst crime imaginable in this universe (beside kinslaying of course), so someone usually only feel safe when eating at the host's table. That's why Catelyn put down her own guard in RW because she couldn't imagine The Freys would go so low to break this norm. Also that's why people in Westeros lose their shit over what happened at the RW.
As for Davos, he was captured and unsure if he's gonna be hanged this fortnight. Eating something offered by Godric just made him feel safe....for now.

So if you offer someone food you are saying dude you are safe here? Relax, take a load off and chill?

Lol. It is hard to follow. I feel like I missed a lot.

Well, she explained at some point (I honestly don't remember when) that the fires do show her the truth, but it's all in riddles. Like what Daenerys saw at that house in... AGoT, I think? Or Jojen's green dreams. The real trick is in deciphering the visions, and there's really no way to know for sure until it happens.
