5.7 - Desk Set
Read a book with a main character that is an author or journalist (novelist, journalist, blogger, TV script writer, etc).
Required:If the vocation/avocation is not evident in the book’s description provide a reference or quote from the book.

There's nothing in the description that mentions an author- you would need to provide a reference.

It's been a while since I read it, but I think the 1913 portions feature Eliza. You may need to flip through the book.

Here's a link to the first book in the series, The Fade Out: Act One, which does describe him as a writer.
