Wow! I just googled him and the paintings I looked at were very provocative. I'm with you, Robin. I could look at these for hours, too.


While I'm enjoying the books, Connelly's writing is too long winded on the internal musings of the characters and the long philosophical descriptions of scenery. He needs to get to the point more quickly because the first 50% of most of his books are boring.

I love the author's use and descriptions of LA locations in these stories. I lived in LA for many years, and I love revisiting all those memories through the descriptions in these stories. I dragged my kids to the Bradbury Building and the Getty when we went to California on vacation.
