After saving themselves and their fellow students from a life pitched against one another, Sophie and Agatha are back home again, living happily ever after. But life isn't exactly a fairytale. When Agatha secretly wishes she'd chosen a different happy ending with Prince Tedros, the gates to the School for Good and Evil open once again. But Good and Evil are no longer enemies and Princes and Princesses may not be what they seem, as new bonds form and old ones shatter.

I've started! Chapter 4(view spoiler)[ I really hope that it wasn't Agatha wish that brought all of this on. Agatha is such a sweet and selfless person, for everything to fall apart because she had one selfish thought I'll be mad!! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 5 (view spoiler)[ I don't know how I feel about this. I don't like that cause Agatha chose Sophie now men are irrelevant and evil and that it's all Agatha's fault. I don't like this (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 11 (view spoiler)[ I like that the first line of chapter 11 is "You two are very codependent" that sums up the entire series!!!! (hide spoiler)]

I'm up to chapter 12 and this one is turning out so much more frustrating than the first one

Yeah Sophie is really selfish and she's such a frustrating character just when you think she'll be better she lets you down

Every time. She's just like she was in the last one.

Yeah not meaning to spoil anything but all the things that were frustrating in the first is repeated in this one

Chapter 18 (view spoiler)[ I'm getting really frustrated with the story, Sophie is more selfish than ever, I'm not liking this girls versus boys thing cause it relies too much on stereotypes, and theses book are suppose to be (so I thought) about breaking fairytale conventions but I suppose to believe that Tedros and Agatha love is true, pure and undying even tho Agatha admitted to not knowing him well. And how Tedros is being treated, I doesn't make sense why they're being horrible! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 20 (view spoiler)[ NO NO NO please don't bring the love triangle back, Sophie you chose Agatha stop being so selfish. Sophie doesn't love Tedros and Tedros will never love Sophie, so make it go away. I already know how it gonna end Sophie is gonna go evil and betray Agatha cause she wants Tedros. OMG I can't, this is making me so mad. The first book might as well not have happen cause nothing changed and they keep making the same mistakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first book should have been a standalone!!!!!!!!!! (hide spoiler)]

Through chapter 6. (view spoiler)[Sophie is seriously annoying me. I think the fact that things have changed and none of the girls want princes is an interesting concept to explore, I just wish that Sophie would be at all likable. I'm really with Tedros on this one. Maybe things would be better if she were dead. (hide spoiler)]

I finished and I can't say I'm very happy with the ending.

A lot of things in these book (this one in particular) are frustrating. I can't wait to hear what you think of the ending. I kinda need someone to talk about it to!

Just finished. Not very happy with it overall. (view spoiler)[There was little to no character development from the cirst book, and the little there was was negative. Sophie was just as selfish and even worse, actually, since she convinced herself she wasn't being selfish. Tedros was awful. It was ok for him to not trust Agatha, to want to kill her, to kiss Filip, but Sophie lying wasn't ok? Suddenly he feels bad and since all he ever wanted was love, all is forgiven? Sorry, not happening. I don't like Sophie, but I don't like this ending either. (hide spoiler)]

I completely agree with everything you said (view spoiler)[ I felt that this book was so unnecessary. The story and characters regressed to the people they were in the first book undoing everything. It made me so mad. Like the first book sure have ending with Sophie still the witch and just went straight to the third book. I also hated the boys versus girl plot it relied so much of stereotypes it. Also what was the point of the dean, she was just a plot device use to undo all of the progress made in the first book. She was unnecessary. (hide spoiler)]

I'm not sure I want to read the third book, I think I need a little time to get over my angry. I really loved the first book but this one really disappointed me.

I'll probably read the next one next month. That's usually how I read a series.

Definitely agree. Pretty much everything was not needed.

If you want to do a buddy read it would be great motivation to read it

Hello!! Do you want to read a certain number of pages or chapters a day? Or do you want to play it by ear? I'm flexible, so whatever you want to do is fine with me! :)

How about play by ear? I've got several BRs going on right now so I don't want to commit to a certain amount a day and not deliver.

Sounds good! No pressure here! You just read what you want and I'll keep an eye on what you do and make sure to keep around the same pace. I'm super psyched for this one!!
