I thought it was interesting how in each event of the mass extinctions, there were similar causes. Now that we know that certain animals must be protected, we are able to find ways to support the creatures and lead them to having a longer life.

I was impressed by the scope and interconnectedness of each of the arguments made by the book. The way that the book was set up was very user friendly. Each chapter was almost stand alone but seen in the whole it was much more fulfilling much like the science that she unfolds. A very informative and enlightening look at the state of our Earth and the part that we play in it's evolution and this next unfolding extinction.

This book was incredible. I recommend it for anyone, scientist or not. It lays the foundation to understanding how the climate crisis and anthropogenic impacts are taking away our wildlife, but also emphasizes how we have to be hopeful and put effort in to enact change.
