Irish Mythology Reinvented discussion

I am of Irish descent, born and raised in the States and recently traveled to Ireland for the first time. I'm very interested in learning about Irish folklore, particularly involving creatures / beings like selkies and other legends or myths about Irish women. I learned about selkies recently from my friend, who told me about Song of the Sea and The Secret of Roan Inish. It sounds like a fascinating mythical creature and I'd love to learn more. Any recommendations for books? Thanks!
